    Summary

    This vacancy will be filled using the Office of Personnel Management's Direct-Hire Authority. Veterans' preference and traditional rating and ranking of applicants do not apply to positions filled under this announcement.

    These position is located within the Deputy Administrator for Product Management, Actuarial, Prices and Filing Division; One position is in Prices Branch and one position is in the Actuarial Branch.

    These are NFFE Bargaining Unit positions.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct studies of insured and uninsured crops and counties with regard to insurance potential.
    • Study proposed insurance programs, forms and related procedures with regard to implications for price elections.
    • Review, analyze, evaluate, and recommend marketing processes for the various crops to determine policy change needed to assure consistency with the basis by which prices and price elections are determined.
    • Plan and direct special studies on price elections quality adjustment factors, distribution of liability for various crops, and other factors needed to evaluate actuarial adequacy and equity.
