The 512-acre suburban park is nestled on the eastern shore of the Potomac River between Washington, DC and the Capital Beltway. The park includes a historic working farm which contains the early 19th century Mount Welby house, several farm buildings of different historical periods, woodlands, fenced pastures, and large open fields. Farm animals that are cared for at the farm include chickens, cows, goats, hogs, horses, and sheep.
