    The Principal Avionics Inspector develop, administer and enforce regulations and standards concerning civil aviation safety, including: Conducting surveillance of the avionics portion of air carrier operators Evaluating avionics technicians and repair facilities; Inspecting aircraft and related equipment for airworthiness; Evaluating the overall avionics programs of air carriers and similar commercial carriers; Investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents and violations.
