This position is located at the Jamaica Plain campus and provides coverage for the associate Causeway Street Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) at the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).The primary purpose of the Associate Ambulatory Care Operations Director-Group Practice Manager is to provide oversight and administrative management of ambulatory care services in the assigned site/campus and related Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) as it relates to access to care as applicable. The ASSOCIATE ACOD GPM is responsible for primary care, mental health, specialty care, ambulatory surgery and all other ambulatory clinics oversight and integration into an efficient Clinic Practice Management model at the assigned site/campus and related CBOCs. The ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM is responsible for supporting high quality, accessible, cost effective health care services. The ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM is also responsible for ensuring a high quality patient experience for the Veteran, by acting on feedback from the Veteran, his or her family and/or significant others, VAMC employees, and expert clinical staff. In addition, the ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM works with ACOD-GPM and the VAMC quadrad to develop strategic plans for the facility and assigned facilities as it relates to access to care. The ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM measures and assesses clinical business activities with an emphasis on improving clinical product line performance. Central to the Associate ACOD-GPM's purpose of ensuring an exceptional Veteran patient experience is the development, standardization, implementation, and sustainment of key operational/business processes, including scheduling practices, to ensure efficient and effective management of the clinic. The Associate ACOD-GPM will identify and implement improvements to optimize clinic management processes, access strategies, and "make-buy" decisions through an in depth analysis of in-house and non-VA provided care for the assigned facility. The ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM reports to the ACOD-GPM. The ASSOCIATE ACOD-GPM is responsible for regularly presenting key management indicators to the ACOD-GPM for presentation to the Executive Staff.
