Coordinates all technical and non-technical training programs for Engineering Services. Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manger with work reviewed only periodically at major milestones and at completion for compliance with requirements. Acts as an individual contributor and a leader for small project/programs to coordinate other ES Resources in panels and teams to assist in training development and offering in house workshops. Applies experience and advanced knowledge applicable to his/her discipline to plan and accomplish assignments. Identifies and analyzes training needs and translate them into training opportunities to be coordinated by the Administrating Services Group for all technical and nontechnical training programs. Identifies, analyzes, and recommends solutions for complex/difficult problems and recommends improvements and action plans. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and using assigned resources to accomplish program activities. Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es) or recommend new approaches. Conduct studies to identify trends and improvements to the training program. Contacts typically are internal and external, with regular contacts among major subdivisions and LOB's/SO's, customers, and other external parties to share information about the FAA and explain the applications of policies and procedures. Coordinates and facilitates all new hire orientation and on boarding training for all new hires. Assists employees in mapping out training and development plans. Analyzes and evaluates job content to determine training needs, conducts training needs assessments and evaluates courses prepared by vendors and internal organizations. Tracks, manages and reports on training needs from eLMS and RIT on recurring training and/or expiring training. Assists in managing quota with Army Corps of Engineers, EOSH trainings, and any other out of agency training. The analyst collects and analyzes data in order to prepare factual information, project papers, briefings and training reports to management.
Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.
