Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary, but may involve intermediate periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, moving (up to 50 pounds} computer components and supplies, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor.This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-12. At the GS-11 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-12. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. - Creates and maintains documentation on IT systems and infrastructures to include configuration standards, as-built diagrams, and historical and trending information which varies depending on project/application.
- Provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex information technology issues; interpret information technology policies, standards and guidelines.
- Provides customer service support to stakeholders on an as needed basis relevant to application support activities.
- Makes recommendations for troubleshooting and maintenance of supported applications as well as specifications on vendor products or necessary interfaces.
- Performs application troubleshooting and maintenance in accordance with approved/established application support policies and change control policies in the organization.
