    About the position:
    This position will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop on Ellsworth AFB, SD.

    The purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, repair, test, and/or overhaul major components on motor vehicles.

    Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, crawling under vehicles and working in tight spaces. Frequently lifts, handles, and carries parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally moves moderately heavy items, including objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds.

    Performs duties such as: troubleshooting, rebuilding and repairing automotive engines, major assemblies, and components. Utilizes test equipment; troubleshoots defects; diagnoses malfunctions; determines type and extent of repair(s). Tears down, rebuilds, or replaces complex components. Hooks up fuel, oil, hydraulic and electronic systems to repaired unites and makes adjustments to assure proper operation of units.
