    Responsibilities

    Critical Care Unit:
    Work Schedule: Rotating various 12 hour Tours of Duty. Subject the change to met the needs of the agency.

    Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit. The Registered Nurse supports the mission and vision of the Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

    This Registered Nurse is assigned to the Critical Care Unit. The Registered Nurse, Critical Care Unit is responsible and accountable for providing direct and indirect care to a variety of critically ill patients to a culturally diverse veteran population. The Registered Nurse Critical Care Unit must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative interdisciplinary practice setting. This Registered Nurse demonstrates a sustained high level of clinical practice, skills to provide patient care in an intensive care unit. This Registered Nurse provides accurate use of emergency/resuscitative equipment.

    This Registered Nurse is assigned to the Stepdown Unit. The Registered Nurse, Stepdown Unit is responsible and accountable for providing direct and indirect care to a variety of clinically complex, acutely ill patients to a culturally diverse veteran population. The Registered Nurse Stepdown Unit must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative interdisciplinary practice setting. This Registered Nurse demonstrates a sustained high level of clinical practice, skills to provide patient care in a stepdown unit level of care. This Registered Nurse provides accurate use of emergency/resuscitative equipment
