    Summary

    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Project Management Division (IJ) located at Archives II. The incumbent performs under the administrative direction of the Director and Deputy Director of IJ. IJ is responsible for the initial concept development, design, development, and the implementation of information systems at NARA using NARA's Systems Development Lifecycle Document (SDLC) and standard Project Management practices.

    Responsibilities

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    - Employ a mastery of project management principles processes and procedures to work through the project management processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects.
    - Initiate, plan, define, verify, and control the scope of the project to ensure that all the work required, is performed to successfully complete the project.
    - Ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, and dissemination of project information which consists of communications planning, distribution, and performance reporting.
    - Work with Program Manager (PgM) and the Requirements Management Division (IR) to determine the requirements for each project and assists in developing an acquisition plan with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and/or Contracting Officer (CO).
