As a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST (SOCIAL MEDIA) at the GS-1035-9/11/12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Develop and write articles for internal and external audiences to be used in print and electronic media regarding USTRANSCOM issues and programs. Serve as photographer for Senior Leaders and others during events as required.
- Serve as a social media point of contact responsible for developing content across various online platforms and publishing information that is timely and engaging to the audience.
- Serve as a Public Affairs digital engagement specialist responsible for researching, developing and executing communication strategies and techniques aligned with industry and Department of Defense best practices to convey USTRANSCOM activities to internal and public audiences.
- Develop, promote and implement an effective content creation program by identifying communication needs aligned with command objectives. Develop relationships with TRANSCOM leaders and staff to maximize the opportunity to publicize pertinent information.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
