    As a Historian, GS-0170-11 you will:

    • Administer and implement the historical components of the National Historic Landmarks and National Register programs for Alaska, Interior Region 11.
    • Prepare and update site documentation of National Historic Landmark nominations, as well as prepare histories for educational and interpretive products including social media formats.
    • Participate in Section 106 reviews of Federal undertakings involving landmarks.
    • In addition to program administration responsibility, you will provide historic preservation technical assistance to other federal agencies, state and local governments, Alaska Native groups and the public which may include advising, training, and disseminating information to a variety of audiences.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
