    EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

    In this position, you will be serving as a Program Support Assistant managing office operations and administrative functions. Typical assignments include:

    • Planning for various meeting events; such as reserving meeting space, lodging accommodations, and disseminating meeting and travel information to appropriate persons.
    • Updating and maintaining several automated databases containing sensitive administrative information.
    • Serving as Timekeeper, which includes validating timecards, maintaining T&A records and conducting leave audits.
    • Creating and updating SOP's as necessary, maintaining records, reports and documents related to administrative and communication matters.
    • Taking notes and maintaining reports of discussions and action assignments from various meetings and teleconferences and provides Division Director with action reports as requested.
    • Providing responsive customer service to all external and internal stakeholders, troubleshooting information requests, and coordinating critical action items with appropriate staff.
