At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Serve on a team that oversees a water quality program to assess watershed sources of nonpoint source pollution and deliver environmental restoration.
- Serve on a team of programmatic and technical experts on water quality, watershed, and/or restoration programs and policy.
- Review, develop, and implement environmental technical tools, guidance, and policies in support of state water quality programs.
- Work related to the initiation, administration, and/or close-out of contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements, including reviewing contractors' plans and monitoring their progress to ensure optimal performance within monetary limits, and the performance of administrative work as necessary to accomplish these duties.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
One or more positions may be filled.
Occasional travel - You may be required to travel 25% or less of each month.
