- Serve as cultural resources manager and technical expert on matters pertaining to archeology, anthropology, and history.
- Review cultural resource management programs during the planning, design, and construction-operation stages of installation undertakings.
- Provide guidance and interpretation to installation representatives concerning impacts on significant cultural resources and criteria for compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
- Determine the appropriate level of effort and sources of funds required for the accomplishment of various programs and reports.
