    About the Position: Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest's Puget Sound region, Joint Base Lewis- McChord (JBLM) is the Defense Department's premiere military installation in the northwest. This position is located within the Directorate of Public Works.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as cultural resources manager and technical expert on matters pertaining to archeology, anthropology, and history.
    • Review cultural resource management programs during the planning, design, and construction-operation stages of installation undertakings.
    • Provide guidance and interpretation to installation representatives concerning impacts on significant cultural resources and criteria for compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
    • Determine the appropriate level of effort and sources of funds required for the accomplishment of various programs and reports.
