Recent graduates from a qualifying educational institution having completed an academic program within the preceding two years. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: providing a variety of services essential to the effective performance of installed systems; monitor the availability and functionality of networks and systems, detect and report problems; and participate in testing and installing systems modifications and upgrades.

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineer, information science, information system management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, or two full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaption of applications, systems or networks.
In addition to the above, applicants must have IT related experience demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate

RECENT GRADUATE PROGRAM - The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs.
