    The Regional Office provides support services to National Park Service units in the Region. The incumbent is responsible for providing Architectural Design, Architect/Engineer (A/E) Project Management, and Construction Project Management to park units. This work entails management of contracts; technical architectural design activities; and construction project supervision; assignments involve new design, design modifications,
    requirements definition and architectural evaluations. The assignments are diverse in nature and cover a number of essentially different building types such as concrete, masonry, structural steel, and wood frame. This position may be located in either Seattle or San Francisco.

    Serves as an architectural design specialist with responsibility for developing the designs, plans, and specifications for a wide range of building repairs,
    rehabilitation, and construction for a variety of park facilities, including residences, apartments, comfort stations, visitor centers, maintenance shops, fire
    facilities, and administrative offices and facilities.

    Performs or directs the survey and inspections at the project site to determine condition of facilities and to secure necessary data prior to initiating design, evaluates the data obtained and incorporates the salient factors into design solutions.

    The incumbent oversees and manages all aspects of assigned projects and is technically responsible for their successful progress and completion. Project Management duties include the following: Manages the project budget, including coordination of funding requests, Obtains necessary permits and Prepares the Scope of Work, the construction estimate, and the schedule for proposed contracts with A/E firms.
