    Summary

    The position is located within the Indian Health Services (IHS) under Navajo Region Human Resources, Division of Work Force Relations. The employee provides consultation, assistance, and advice pertaining to the interpretation and application of a wide array of Human Resource regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the employee relations and labor relations specialization of federal human resources.

    Responsibilities

    The incumbent serves as a Human Resources Specialist in the field of Employee Relations and Labor Relations which specifically includes the following functions:

    • (a) adverse and disciplinary actions,
    • (b) both administrative and union grievances and appeals,
    • (c) employee benefits including retirement, and
    • (d) performance management.
