Physical Requirements: The work is mainly sedentary, but may involve, walking, light lifting, climbing stairs, bending, carrying light items such as papers, books, files or driving an automobile, etc. No special demands are required to perform the work.
This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-7. At the GS-5 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-7. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Promotion is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.
- Perform a full-range of support assignments
- Provide support to HR specialists involved in one or more specialties such as classification, employee benefits, recruitment and staffing; security, etc
- Use personal computers to prepare HR documents with complicated formatting
- Use personal computers and software programs in an office environment to extract, revise, or sort information from files, records, or databases
- Oversee the maintenance and control of the Electronic Official Personnel Folders (e-OPF)
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
