    This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. Selectee will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. It is anticipated that you will work approximately 10 1/2 months, and be in a non-pay status between July to September.

    The incumbent will support the California condor program and will conduct field data collection primarily on the distribution and status of condors in and around Pinnacles National Park. Knowledge and experience with radio telemetry and condors is required.
    • Lead field crews,
    • Condor trapping and handling,
    • Radio-track condors in and out of the Park,
    • Map locations using GPS and GIS,
    • Take detailed field notes on condor foraging, dominance, and habitat use,
    • Use computer software applications (Microsoft Access, Excel, and ArcGIS) to enter, process, and summarize data and to create reports and recommendations for future activities,
    • Assist other projects within the division as needed, and assist with park search and rescue operations
