The working title for this position is Linux System Administration. As a Linux System Administration, you will perform the following duties:
- Serve as the Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for implementing and documenting all Linux cybersecurity configurations and applying industry standards such as relevant Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Design, configure, and maintain complex applications based on customer specifications including Linux platforms on the Red Hat (RHEL) and Centos architecture.
- Coordinate cybersecurity UNIX projects to ensure system security, responsible for coordinating or monitoring development efforts and schedules.
- Communicate complex and technical information orally and in writing to a variety of audiences including providing expert technical advice and guidance on critical digital communications issues.
These duties are described at the full performance level of the GS-13. The GS-12 is developmental leading to such performance.
Occasional travel - Up to 5% of domestic travel may be required.
