    The National Park Service (NPS) regional office located in Atlanta, Georgia is recruiting for a Civil Rights Historian (GS-0170-12) for Interior Region 2-South Atlantic-Gulf Region's Division of Cultural Resources, Partnerships, and Science.

    Responsibilities

    The Civil Rights Historian will be responsible for providing programmatic coordination and direction for the history program's efforts on the African American experience and the incumbent will report directly to the Regional Historian. The incumbent will have extensive experience in the field of history with a focus on the African American experience. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting efforts related to history for Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act and working collaboratively on research efforts with Interior Region 2's Regional Cultural Anthropologist and Historians, the parks, and external scholars.
