The primary purpose of this position is to plan, administer, manage, and oversee special events held at the museum.
- Formulates, plans, manages and directs major public events in support of the USAFM mission, such as aircraft fly-in activities, kite festivals, hot air balloon rally's, concerts, conferences, and exhibit openings.
- Serves as a protocol focal point for USAFM activities involving protocol.
- Plans, manages, schedules and executes special projects such as award ceremonies, special interest events, retirements, decorations, and special acts/ suggestion awards, presided over by the USAFM director or higher level AF and government leaders.
- Advises, manages and assists in a variety of special visits, tours, meetings, ceremonies, banquets and other events conducted by Air Force, AFMC, and ASCC commands and their subordinate organizational units, and civilian agencies.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
