    This position is in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), IT Operations and Services (ITOPS), Infrastructure Operations (IO) who is responsible for a range of duties to ensure products fit and securely function within the existing enterprise environment.

    This is a bargaining unit position.

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts, or drive a motor vehicle. The work does not require any special physical effort.

    Major Duties:

    • Defines the feasibility of a solution, its implementation, its interaction with the existing systems. Improves the cost-effectiveness of the project/product.
    • Prepares test data, analyzes results, troubleshoots problems and communicates issues back to development.
    • Facilitates the Agile Release Train and Solution Train processes and execution.
    • Escalates impediments, risks and helps ensure value delivery, and help drive relentless improvement.
    • Assists teams with transitioning from the traditional, unidirectional release cycle (Research, Plan, Develop, Test and Release) into a more agile process utilizing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
