As a/an Director Policy and Legislative Initiatives Division, you will:
- Manages and supervises the activities of the PLID and the Department's to affirmatively further fair housing initiatives. Coordinates with HUD program offices and other federal departments and agencies with activities related to housing and urban development. Establishes strategic goals, objectives, and activities for the Division that are aligned with management plan goals and implementation of AFFH efforts. Ensures effective provision of technical assistance and training on fair housing planning and affirmatively furthering fair housing to local governments, States, and public housing agencies.
- Plans, directs, and conducts broad studies to analyze highly complex and broad fair housing problems of a fundamental or precedent-setting nature. Makes recommendations to senior leaders based comprehensive analyses.
- Develops, analyzes, and evaluates new or modified program management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
- Oversees the design, development, and refinement of multimillion-dollar technological solutions to comply with the Paperwork Reduction Act.
Occasional travel - 1-5 nights monthly
