    Summary

    A successful candidate in this position serves as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) that utilizes comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of IT engineering, IT security, technical, and administrative aspects of information management, information assurance, automation, and emerging technologies to design, architect, plan, direct, and ultimately sustain the delivery of IT Enterprise systems to NNSA.

    Responsibilities

    As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

    • Serve as an Authorizing Official Designated Representative utilizing comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of IT engineering, IT security, technical, and administrative aspects of information management, information assurance, automation, and emerging technologies to design, architect, plan, direct, and ultimately sustain the delivery of IT Enterprise systems to the serviced activities.
    • Assist in providing guidance and direction in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that foster cooperation among NNSA sites at the enterprise level and is recognized as an authoritative expert in the field. Participate in the technology planning and policy formulation process to ensure NNSA’s operational requirements are fully met.
    • Secure federal data through the planning, organizing, scheduling, and managing short- and long-term projects as a team member or leader to initiate and provide secure NNSA computing environment.
    • Serve as an expert in assistance to other organizations and with communication and briefings to support the DOE’s secure information of internal record management governance bodies and DOE communities.
