    This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), IT Operations and Services (ITOPS), Infrastructure Operations (IO), Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office (ECSO). The incumbent shall serve as a (IT) Specialist (Program Manager) specializing in Information Technology program management.

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items such as paper, books, or small parts, or drive a motor vehicle. The work does not require any special physical effort. Occasionally work may be done in computer rooms, off site offices, or buildings.

    Major Duties:

    • Identifies customers' cloud application and/or systems requirements.
    • Serves as liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
    • Applies project management standards and practices to successfully implement solutions by implementing new IT developments and applications within the agency's IT architecture.
    • Determines project task assignments, identifying resource requirements, developing and maintaining project schedule, coordinating the project activities and adhering to project deadlines.
    • Performs as primary stakeholder in the underlying information technology (IT) operational processes and functions that support the service, provide direction and monitor all significant activities so the service is delivered successfully.
