As a Research Physical Scientist within the St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
Physical Demands - The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as small field equipment, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Environment - Work is typically performed in an office; however, during the field season, work may involve exposure to a range of weather and temperature conditions, insects, and other wildlife.
You will be required to operate a government-owned or -leased vehicle in the performance of your official duties. Applicants for this position must meet the following requirements: (1) possess a valid State license, and (2) possess a safe driving record. If selected, you will be required to provide proof of a valid State license & a copy of your driving record.
