As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC (Title 32), WG-2610-12/13, you will install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
Military Grades: Enlisted - May not exceed the rank of E-8
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of this occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-13 Level -Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 12 months of experience working as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12 and experience installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions; performing on-or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on systems such as, automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems; performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems; completing operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of line-replaceable-units which are linked with integrated systems and line-replaceable-units which are independent or associated with nonintegrated systems; isolating unusual malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment including automatic test equipment and flight line test systems; solving complex problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems; adjusting and aligning system sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies; installing components into aircraft and performing total systems alignment; performing thorough system checks for correct operations; maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, complete electronic avionics multi-system controls; thorough working knowledge of complex aircraft avionics or electronic circuit maintenance systems; analyzing the malfunctions and performing required repairs; reviewing and analyzing maintenance data; performing alignments, adjustments, and conducting final calibrations on integrated systems; proposing preventative maintenance down time; using algebraic and trigonometric functions to adapt standard formulas to the specific requirements of the integrated system; installing, operating, and repairing prototypes or experimental electronic systems; advising aerospace engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed time compliance technical orders' modifications on new or existing equipment. Must have at least a three-skill level in one of the compatible AFSCs, with 12 months of work experiences.

To qualify an enlisted applicant for hire consideration into an ANG Dual Status Technician FWS 2610 position, award of the compatible Air Force Specialty Code, Craftsman Seven Skill Level; Journeyman Five Skill Level; or, the Apprentice Three Skill Level, with the position's compatible unit position assignment and a high school diploma, are mandatory requirements. Completion of high school courses in physics, algebra, trigonometry, and computer principles is desirable. Higher academic college courses and degrees that are aligned within the FWS Series 2610 type of work tasks are also desirable.
If you are using Education to qualify for this position,For the WG-13 ANG Dual Status Technician position, the mandatory military education requirements are the completion of an Air Force Seven Skill Level Technical Training School and awarded a compatible Seven Skill Level AFSC, along with the successful completion of at least one military professional education course program. For the WG-2610-12 ANG Dual Status Technician positions, the mandatory military training requirements are the completion of an Air Force Three Skill Level Technical Training School and successful On-the-Job training that will result or resulted in the award of a compatible Five Skill Level AFSC.
