Being an Information Technology (IT) Specialist (Application Software) makes you an invaluable member of the FLETC team and mission. This position is located in the IT Service Management (ISM) Branch, of the Enterprise IT Services Division (ITS), within the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate and in Glynco, Georgia.

Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attend meetings and conferences away from the work site. The position may frequently be involved in the design, installation, and maintenance of all types of applications and services hardware and software. The position may be exposed to high levels of noise and cold temperatures in telecommunications and data communication facilities. The position may need to occasionally lift and carry EIT weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: The majority of the work is performed in an office setting. The position must be able to make site visits to on-site and off-site locations to support software installation, maintenance and training. Working hours are within the typical workday, however installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting may require overtime or weekend support. The work area involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Re-employed annuitants’ annual salaries will be reduced by the amount of their retirement annuity and by further cost of living increases.
