This position may convert to DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (Acq Demo) in the future. If converted, this position will be assigned to the NH-03 Broadband with a pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 12 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS grade 13 step 10 in the broadband.
This position is covered by control points to account for variances in position responsibilities within the broadband. The Control Point for this position NH-03 is $119,787.00 including locality at the rate of 15.95%.Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.
DUTIES:
Serve as a senior system analyst with project responsibility for performing analyses and evaluation of tests and simulations to determine the performance and suitability of developmental and operational army missile and weapons systems.
Perform evaluations and analyses to determine systems or software performance, characteristics, capabilities, limitations, effectiveness, and problems.
Determine appropriate methods and techniques to be used in interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating operational and mathematical data obtained from actual and simulated tests of missile and instrumentation systems and related components.
Provide cognizant commands with expertise in testing of systems or software for weapons in developmental or improvement status.
Coordinate efforts of subject area specialists in science and engineering involved in the gathering of test data.
Develop and coordinate required test plans and firing scenarios prior to weapon testing.
Serve as technical leader of a work team. Technically leads lower or same grade specialists, assistants, technicians and other support personnel in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Basic Educational Requirement - Operations Research Analyst - 1515 - Transcripts required at time of application:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Basic Educational Requirement - Mathematician - 1520 Transcripts required at time of application:
Degree: mathematics; or the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24 semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The total course work in either A or B above must have included differential and integral calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a prerequisite.
Basic Education Requirement for Computer Scientist 1550- Transcripts required at time of application:
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree in computer science.
OR
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
