This position is located in the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Fiscal Accounting (FA), Fiscal Accounting Support & Outreach (FASO), Program Support Division (PSD), Audit, Planning and Communications Branch (APCB).
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Perform reviews as part of the FA’s internal control and financial management programs, including reviews under the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) sections 2 and 4, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), OMB Circulars A-123 and A-127 and other laws and regulations.
- Facilitate and coordinate the annual review of FA’s financial reporting controls in accordance with OMB A-123 Appendix A.
- Work closely with technical staff and the operating managers in the Bureau to facilitate changes required to administer or implement recommendations identified during the review.
Occasional travel - 1-5 nights per year.
