Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-12. At the GS-11 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-12. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. - Evaluates the impact of changes in business needs on current policy and develops solutions to be presented to leadership.
- Ensures that the VA IT strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are integrated into work products and services to optimize IT resources that are utilized across the Department.
- Develops and prepares management reports and other pertinent information relating to the Service Management Office (SMO).
- Produces technical instruction, user, and process documentation for customers, and technical manuals as needed in support of Development Operations and SMO activities.
- Protects data from unauthorized release or from loss, alteration, or unauthorized deletion.
Occasional travel - Travel required up to 25% of the time.
