    Summary

    This position is located within Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), EMPO is VA's IT enterprise structure for conducting major initiatives, monitoring key information and improving project execution to deliver better outcomes to VA business partners and Veterans. EPMO provides a consolidated enterprise wide approach to identify, select, prioritize and successfully execute technology portfolios of projects and execution of all program/project management and software development.

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. May carry light items such as paper, books, or small parts. The work does not require any special physical effort.


    Major Duties:

    • Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders.
    • Analyze user needs and requirements to plan architecture.
    • Develop enterprise architecture or system components required to meet user needs.
    • Plan implementation strategy to ensure that enterprise components can be integrated and aligned.
    • Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
