    This is a bargaining unit position.

    This position is located in an Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Division where the incumbent serves as a Senior IT Analyst with a full range of duties associated with one or more IT specialty areas required to support the Unified Communications Infrastructure Support organization.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary, but may involve periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, moving (up to 50 pounds) components and supplies, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor. Subject to call back outside tour of duty.

    This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-13. At the GS-12 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-13. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Promotion is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.

    Major Duties:
    • Accomplish long and short-range projects in the modification of systems, software, hardware, and networks.
    • Provide the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures.
    • Manage stressful situations and deals with obstacles within the working environment, which includes peer relations and the demands of handling multiple tasks, and ability to be flexible, creative, showing initiative and being persistent as a team player.
    • Determine IT requirements, negotiates, influences and persuades managers to accept and implement findings and recommendations related to the utilization of established or proposed methods and procedures .

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel 15% for this position.
