NASA has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Information Technology Specialist who is prepared to lead as Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) and direct state-of-the-art computing, networking, and cybersecurity at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. - Provides technical and administrative direction to employees (e.g., select employees, assign work, recommend employee promotions and recognition, approve leave, evaluate performance, implement performance actions, etc.).
- Makes technical decisions, consult on delivery of IT and information management services, ensure missions and objects are met. Develops/implements policies and IT security procedures and devises long-term strategies.
- Evaluates the organization, devise/recommends improvement plans (e.g., program policies, practices, methods, and organizational structure). Coordinate formative requirements for new programs and project design/implementation; manage ongoing programs.
- Oversees IT project planning and management (e.g. analyze/resolve IT design-related issued). Directs implementation of quality assurance processes; ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, and technical procedures.
