    The primary purpose of this position is to plan, manage, coordinate, advise, execute, and train on matters pertaining to protocol. To serve as event planner for visits by distinguished visitors and groups to include special purpose meetings and conferences, award presentations and various ceremonies.

    • For assigned activities independently conceptualizes, plans, coordinates, and executes all protocol aspects of visits of high ranking US and foreign dignitaries, and special ceremonies as hosted/ supported by the senior leadership.
    • Assists with implementing policies and procedures for protocol.
    • Plans, manages and schedules special award ceremonies such as retirements, promotions, decorations, and special acts/ suggestions awards presided over by the Director or subordinate centers.
    • Performs a wide variety of program and project management duties, analyzes processes, policy and data and then synthesizes courses of action for senior leader decisions.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
