    Responsibilities

    As a/an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) - DH, you will:
    -Provide and implement recommendations for operational policies, procedures, and criteria for interfacing with program systems based on enterprise and security architecture. Recommend ways to protect the Department's information and information systems.
    -Provide guidance on application systems designs, including Web based applications, and architecture to ensure the implementation of systems security policies, guidelines and procedures, including initial design; system life cycle change review; and configuration management.
    -Initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate the security program of the Department, including the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities such as intrusion detection or access authentication programs.
    -Coordinate the implementation of the security program across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria; enforces proper backup procedures for all system and network information; and enforces legal controls that provide protection from unauthorized access, alteration, loss, disclosure, and blocking of information.
    -Investigate suspicious and potentially malicious activity within the Department's networks and systems to include examining security alerts, performing triage and determining the scope of a threat. This includes utilizing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software and tools.
