    Summary

    The incumbent of this position is an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) assigned to the Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance Division (CPCD), Office of Critical Infrastructure and IT Security (OCIITS), Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).

    Responsibilities

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    • Design and implement comprehensive, integrated, IT security assessment strategies to oversee, track, and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of IT security compliance.

    • Develop policies and procedures to ensure information and information systems maintain a security posture of reliability and accessibility, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.

    • Maintain current knowledge of the content and requirements of law, regulation, Treasury policy, National Institute of Standards and Technology guidance, and best practices related to IT security. Ensure the integration of these requirements, principles, and practices into Bureau policy, procedure and standards.

    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of new technology and other developments in the field of IT security and serve as a technical resource in appropriate application of technologies.

    • Plan and conduct IT security evaluations, and reviews.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - 1 to 5 nights per annually.
