    This position is located in the Division of Nuclear Materials Safety, Materials Licensing Branch, Region III Office, Lisle, IL.  The supervisor is Robert Orlikowski, Branch Chief. This is a Bargaining Unit position. Selectee is subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

    Responsible for performing radiological and environmental protection licensing reviews of the facilities possessing and using byproduct, source and/or special nuclear materials. Responsible for analysis and evaluation of radiological hazards, design specifications, and operating procedures described in license applications and existing at the application and licensee facilities for a wide variety of uses of radioligical material. Responsible for resolving technical, heath and safety, and security issues with applicants and licensees; preparing written correspondence that includes NRC materials licenses with a high degree of accuracy; and managing multiple priorities within agency established metrics.
