    This position is located in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Finance, Activity Based Information Information Division. This position is established to communicate with other organizations and business units and serve as a liaison between the ABI Division and its customers, while at the same time achieving specific tasks, producing deliverables, and meeting the stated goals of the program.

    The individual selected for this position will be responsible for:

    •Providing advice in the area cost accounting, specifically activity based costing, financial reporting (Statement of Net Cost), specific activity based cost accounting systems, fee setting and fee cost development, budgeting and preparation of external reports.
    •Conducting cost and financial analyses, audits, and/or research as needed of both public and private sector organizations; and reviews, analyzes and validates industry cost data.
    •Coordinating surveys and systems for gathering, analyzing, and validating cost data;
    •Resolving financial discrepancies in reported cost data analysis and validation of cost data.
    •Determining activity based cost accounting data requirements and conducts studies for special projects.
