The employee will perform a full range of cleaning duties in an assigned area following general instructions on the work to be done, including the following: Performs custodial/janitorial duties such as cleaning, sanitizing, restocking restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash and recyclables. Scrubs and polishes floors using power scrubbers and buffers. Washes walls and sidewalk areas using hoses, pressure washers or by hand. Vacuums/cleans rugs, carpets, etc. using vacuum and carpet cleaners. Adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines and changes brushes, rollers, buffers, and other attachments. Moves furniture, supplies, and equipment. Occasionally works on ladders or lifts to change light bulbs, wash walls, etc. Keep shop areas clean and in order. On a regular and recurring basis operates light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (such as pick-up trucks, flatbed trucks, 5 yard dump trucks, etc.) to transport personnel, material, or equipment to work sited located on the park. Assists higher graded employees in other maintenance needs of buildings or grounds.
Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work part-time during the school year under a formal student employment program.
