Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort is required in operating equipment and shoveling snow in the winter. Employee must be able to ride tractor equipment for up to 8-10 hours/day. Must have physical ability to bend, crouch, lift and stand for extended periods of time while performing grounds and equipment maintenance-type work. Must be able to lift 50 LBS.

The duty station for this position is Mammoth Hot Springs, WY. Elevation at Mammoth is 6,200 feet, and fieldwork is performed in the park interior at elevations up to 12,000 feet. Temperatures vary from an average of 70/90 degrees in summer to sub-zero at times in winter. Many community facilities such as stores, a drugstore, day care, motels, and restaurants are available five miles north in Gardiner, Montana. A medical clinic is available in Mammoth. All other services are available within 55 to 75 miles from Mammoth in Livingston, Montana or Bozeman, Montana.
