    Serves as a management and program analyst performing multiple and varying assignments in support of the program area.

    Performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/ programs within a defined area of responsibility.

    Provides direct support to the Team Manager for the Western Enforcement Team. Performs administrative duties in support of higher level administrative and professional legal office staff. Serves as the administrative focal point for the organization in providing timely and responsible answers to requests for information and clearance of agency documents, materials, legal documents, and other data. Examines and analyzes legal documents, verifies pertinent information, and obtains additional information, as directed by higher level staff. Demonstrates some independence in planning time and using assigned resources to accomplish tasks or small projects.

    Assists in developing, reviewing, and analyzing legal reports and documents to ensure completeness. Edits and oversees these documents and ensures proper distribution. Reads, studies, and analyzes legal documents and material for the purpose of compiling information in a narrative form to be use by managers, attorneys, and program specialists. Identifies relevant statutes, regulations and unpublished cases.

    Prepares, sends, and tracks legal correspondence and filings. Efficiently processes incoming mail, communications, documents, and filings including date stamping, logging as necessary, and distributing to the appropriate attorney. Performs a variety of support activities for a staff of attorneys in law practices and court proceedings. Receives, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls and visitors in a prompt, professional manner, and accurately records and disseminates messages, as appropriate.

    Composes or prepares a variety of executive correspondence, briefing papers, narratives, illustrative material, summaries, and statistical data. Performs file maintenance, including records archiving. Responds orally or in writing to recurring or routine inquiries from Federal, Congressional, and private entities, as well as the general public.

    Serves as an administrative resource for the office, providing timely and responsible answers on requests for information, clearance of agency documents, materials and legal documents and other data. Arranges meetings for the legal staff. Maintains office calendar and tracking system and reminds legal staff of deadlines for submitting
    various actions or documents. Continuously coordinates and monitors the overall handling of action items using the office tracking systems. Makes travel arrangements and reservations, for staff and witnesses.

    Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with sound judgment and professional standards, and in a business-like, professional and helpful manner. Maintains and respects confidential nature of legal work including protection of personal information, identification of pre-decisional internal documents and protection of documents and information subject to the attorney client and attorney work product privileges.

    Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit, major subdivision, or LOB/SO with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data and/or written analyses and/or explain the statuses of assignments. May have frequent contacts with customers and other external parties on routine matters such as gathering information, explaining regulations, and discussing the customer's situations.
