As a Training Instructor, the incumbent would perform the following duties:
- Under the guidance of the supervisor, reviews course objectives, outlines materials to be covered, organizes methods of presentations and presents material to students of varied backgrounds and educational experience. Courses involve a large volume of procedural material, as well as practical, hands-on training and include, but are not limited to basic first aid and safety, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Develops and/or assists in developing examination questions and scenarios for testing. Discuss examinations questions and scenarios for testing. Discusses testing methodology and content associates and responds to comments/suggestions from other staff members or students. Conducts proficiency testing to assure concepts, facts, skills and abilities have been assimilated.
- Communicates and schedules the expertise of personnel from other organizational elements and related local law enforcement agencies to ensure training components are in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes to agency requirements, Federal laws and applicable local laws and ordinances and regulations.
Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be necessary to Security Units in DC commuting area and New York.
