    Summary

    The Incumbent serves as an IT Specialist with duties required to support the following:

    • VA APPLICATIONS: Provides technical assistance relative to health, software and business application. This position is located in Infrastructure Operations, Health, Benefits, Memorial, Corporate & Support, IT Operations and Services, Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) serving as an IT Specialist responsible for full range of duties within the Kernel/Infrastructure VistA Applications Division.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary, but may involve intermediate periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, moving (up to 50 pounds) computer components and supplies, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor. Subject to call back outside tour of duty.

    Major Duties:
    • Extensive experience providing front line or first responder support to Kernel/Infrastructure VistA Apps related customer service calls.
    • Substantial experience providing front line or first responder support to Kernel/Infrastructure VistA Apps related customer service calls.
    • Some experience providing front line or first responder support to Kernel/Infrastructure VistA Apps related customer service calls.
    • Extensive experience ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices to the delivery of application software services.
    • Substantial experience ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices to the delivery of application software services.
