A INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0132-11, Provides remote and on-site field technical support services, such as software baseline installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical assistance, such as planning, installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise hardware and software, to State and subordinate unit fixed and tactical MI systems, such as Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), Tactical Ground Station (TGS), Cross Domain Solution Suite (CDSS), Global Broadcast System (GBS), TROJAN, Mission Command Node-Advanced Enclave (MCN-AE), and PROPHET and Army intelligence networks, such as Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), NSAnet, and partner nation coalition networks. Provides advice and guidance on implementing automation in support of intelligence production. Facilitates user and administrator access to Army Intelligence networks and tactical MI systems. Maintains all necessary administrator accounts, clearance, privileges, and training to perform maintenance on Army MI systems; including but not limited to counterintelligence scope polygraph, NSA privileged access and mandatory training, NSAnet and JWICS accounts, DOD 8570.1 baseline and computing environment certification, and Information Assurance Technical II appointment (IAT-II). Coordinates the receipt of periodic system security and software updates to subordinate units. Tracks State and subordinate unit MI systems and networks type, version, accreditation, information assurance (IA) compliance, and mission capable statuses. Coordinates warranty replacement and sustainment level support and funding to State and subordinate MI systems and networks. Responsible for developing and establishing policies and procedures to manage the organization's MI Systems maintenance program in accordance with AR 750-1. Provide oversight of MI systems maintenance locations within the organization. Manages the MI maintenance programs and use of MI equipment within designated facilities throughout the state. Provides guidance, instruction, and maintenance briefings to subordinate units and state staff regarding maintenance policies and procedures in all areas relating to MI systems and the command maintenance discipline program (CMDP). Coordinates MI system support events and personnel as needed for state and subordinate unit system maintenance. Maintains Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) access for performance of duties. Account for and report on state and subordinate unit MI system maintainer/integrators, MOS 35T or 353T, training, clearance, certification, user, and administrator account requirements. Including but not limited to counterintelligence scope polygraph, NSA privileged access and mandatory training, NSAnet and JWICS accounts, DOD 8570.1 baseline and computing environment certification, IAT-II appointment, and GCSS-A access. Tracks status and implements processes to identify deficiencies and report to appropriate offices. Coordinates with appropriate organizations and units for applicable system and user specific training for MI system maintainer/integrators. Provides guidance and advice to Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) for career management of MI system maintainer/integrators. Coordinates and tracks MI system fielding, training, and modernization initiatives. Coordinates subordinate unit equipment fielding priority with ARNG, State Force Integration Readiness Officer (FIRO), and State Property Book Officer (PBO). Ensures subordinate units enter major training events and mobilizations with latest available software and technologies. Coordinates with State FIRO and PBO for New Equipment Fielding (NEF), New Equipment Training (NET), technology insertions, and technology refreshes for subordinate unit MI systems. Performs other duties as assigned.

Area 1: Current On-board Minnesota National Guard Title 32 Technicians who are in permanent or indefinite technician status as a result of being competitively hired within that National Guard component applying for a position within the component which they are currently employed.
Area 2: Current Minnesota National Guard Title 32 Technicians who are in permanent or indefinite technician status as a result of being competitively hired at a sister component that is identified on the Position Vacancy Announcement (PVA), including onboard Title 5 employees that are also current members of MNNG; i.e. Army MNNG to Air MNNG, Air MNNG to Army MNNG.
Area 3: All Minnesota National Guard members currently assigned to the MNANG or to the MNARNG applying for a position within the component in which they are currently assigned. i.e. temporary technician or Traditional Guardsman.
Area 4: Currently assigned service members in other branches of the military outside of the Minnesota National Guard, to include those assigned to Active Duty, Reserve or other state's National Guard.
Area 5: All individuals able to and willing to become members of the Minnesota National Guard including prior service not currently assigned to a military component and non-prior service US civilians.
Evaluation Factors: Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of appropriate education, experience, training, self-development activities, and special awards. Candidates are considered on the basis of available information on their current application and supporting information that has been provided to this office. National Guard military (Part-time) service is considered as full-time experience when evaluated against the qualification requirements for a technician position.
