    Responsibilities

    This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Pacific Regional Office, in Camarillo, CA.

    This position serves as a program manager within BOEM, Department of the Interior (DOI), and provides supervision and oversight of programs that entail the mission, functions, projects, activities, laws, rules, and regulations for which the BOEM is authorized to enforce. Total program missions in the Pacific Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) including the management of OCS oil and gas, marine minerals, and renewable energy resources to ensure timely and optimal production and development as well as regional support of national ocean policy objectives.


    At the full performance level (GS-15) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    1. Lead and manage a staff of diverse professionals.
    2. Communicate and build partnerships with federal agencies, state and local governments, tribes, and stakeholders within the region.
    3. Set priorities and oversee work on OCS oil and gas activities in BOEM's Pacific Region, consistent with direction from Departmental and Bureau leadership.
    4. Set priorities and oversee work on OCS renewable energy activities in BOEM's Pacific Region, consistent with direction from Departmental and Bureau leadership.
    5. Set priorities and oversee work on OCS marine mineral activities in BOEM's Pacific Region, consistent with direction from Departmental and Bureau leadership.
    6. Set priorities and oversee work on OCS environmental programs in BOEM's Pacific Region, consistent with direction from Departmental and Bureau leadership.
    7. Collaborate with senior managers across BOEM on a broad array of program, management, and administrative issues.
    BOEM has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.

    Salary Range Information: GS-15: $146,260 - 172,500 per annum.
    First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
