Responsibilities

As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER - Title 32, WG-5413-6, you will perform duties involving the ground refueling of one or more types of military aircraft, fixed or rotary winged. Operates fixed and mobile fuel distribution systems to receive, store, transfer and disperse JP-4 and/or AVGAS used in high performance aircraft.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.

Military Grades: E-1 through E-6

Compatible Military Assignments: MOS: 91, 92

National Guard Membership is required.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-5413-06 level, applicants must have at least 9 months experience or training pumping gasoline, oil, jet fuel, or other similar products, handling lines and hoses at dock operations, and measuring fuels as they are received, stored, transferred, or loaded into equipment. Experience operating one or more relatively routine work stations and demonstrating skill in manipulating a few controls to regulate the flow of the liquids in a safe and efficient manner.
