    This position is located in the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Account Management Office (AMO). The IT Specialist is responsible for advising and managing tasks to identify the root cause, the degree of impact, and possible remediation for failures covering cyber security, network infrastructure and communications, cloud infrastructure, database technologies, application and operating system technologies, and handheld/mobile technologies.

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary and does not require any special physical effort. Duties may require lifting and carrying computer equipment such as monitors, printers and laptops weighting p to 50 pounds.

    Major Duties:

    • Applying, advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
    • Applying new IT developments to previously unsolvable problems and provide sound recommendations/decisions which significantly impact data management system applicants.
    • Developing specifications and plan criteria for major IT infrastructure projects.
    • Communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Travel required up to 10% of the time.
