    This position is located in the Cyber Threat Analysis Division, Office of Cyber Threat and Investigations, Cyber and Technology Security Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The incumbent serves as Senior Cybersecurity Specialist with responsibility for providing expert advice, guidance, and leadership in the identification, analysis, assessment, and response to cybersecurity threats focused on Department computer systems both domestically and overseas.

    • Oversee comprehensive analysis, assessment, and reporting of global cybersecurity threats affecting critical IT infrastructure;
    • Promote active liaison with counterparts in other intelligence and law enforcement entities especially those with national cyber security responsibilities;
    • Serve as a senior technical advisor to IT specialists and intelligence research analysts throughout the Bureau and Department on advanced methods for protecting the department’s global IT infrastructure from cyber threats, both internal and external;
    • Plan, assign, and review the work of other federal and contractor cyber threat analysts assigned to the Division.
